Olu Deniz
With its world famous Blue Lagoon, Olu Deniz boasts one of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean. The long curved crescent of land that runs into the translucent turquoise water ends in the most spectacular lagoon that has to be seen to be believed. This famous lagoon is a conservation area, a protected area of outstanding natural beauty free from unsightly developments. In order to maintain this area in its natural form there is a small charge to enter (approx 50p). The rest of the beach is a vast expanse of sand and shingle which slopes into the sea providing a wide variety of water sports.
Towering over the area is the renowned Babadag mountain. From the beachside restaurants and bars you can relax and watch the paragliders descend from 6000ft over some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world swooping down to land on the beach.
